FGC VALORANT Invitational 2023 Act 1 is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, March 22, with twelve contestants vying for eight Act 2 berths.
CHINA – FGC VALORANT Invitational 2023 Act 1 is set to begin March 22, with twelve top Chinese teams slated to battle in the main stage of the competition to secure one of the eight Act 2 berths.
The group stage will be played in two round-robin best-of-three groups, with teams playing each other once until April 2. The top three from each group will secure a playoff berth, which will have a double-elimination set-up for April 11-16. As previously mentioned, the top four teams from each group will be granted direct qualification for the Act 2 of the competition.

Teams that will be competing have also been finalized, comprised of two invited sides in EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix, as well as ten qualified sides, which were selected through weekly qualifiers that took place over the course of five weeks, with the top two teams from each week qualifying for the main event. The teams that successfully qualified are NTER, Attacking Soul Esports, KONE, Totoro Gaming, Bilbili Gaming, Invincible Gaming, Number One Player, TYLOO, Team Weibo, and Dragon Ranger Gaming.
Current juggernaut teams EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix find themselves in separate groups and are unable to meet in the playoffs if one or both fail to secure a top-three position in their respective group stages.
