Prepare your wallets as VCT Masters Tokyo is right around the corner, and tickets are about to go on sale.
JAPAN – Tickets for the upcoming Masters Tokyo will go on sale beginning April 8 at 9 AM SGT (UTC+8), according to a press release from Riot Games.
The upcoming VCT Masters Tokyo will showcase twelve teams from three major regions (EMEA, Americas, Pacific), and China. It will commence at Tipstar Dome Chiba and conclude at Makuhari Messe for the final two days of the competition.
The group stage matches will occur from June 11 to June 14, and the playoff stage will resume on June 16 after a one-day break. The tournament will observe a two-day break on June 22 and 23, followed by the lower final and grand final on June 24 and the Grand Final on June 25 to crown the champions.
Tickets will soon be available for purchase on the AXS website. In order to accommodate fans from different parts of the world, Riot Games has divided ticket sales into two categories: local and international.
For local fans residing in Japan, the ticket options are more extensive, as they are able to purchase tickets for all days of the event, including the group stage and playoffs. However, for international fans eager to attend the event, their options are somewhat limited, as it seems that they can only purchase tickets for the final two days of the event at the Makuhari Messe.
Riot Games has yet to confirm the matter and release the pricing information for the event, so fans will have to wait patiently to find out how much they will need to prepare their wallets.
The Tipstar Dome Chiba is situated in the city of Chiba, Japan, and serves as an indoor velodrome. The venue has an advertised maximum capacity of 3,600, with 2,000 seats reserved for sporting events. Notably, the Tipstar Dome Chiba also hosts other events such as esports tournaments, drone racing competitions, and live music shows, further highlighting the versatility of the facility.
The Makuhari Messe situated in the Mihama district of Chiba City, in close proximity to Tokyo, is one of the biggest convention centers in Japan. This venue served as a stage for a part of the 2020 Summer Olympics. Although the maximum capacity of the Makuhari Messe is reportedly not definitive and varies from 4,000 to 9,000 attendees.
Masters Tokyo is anticipated to be a major international event for VALORANT, with Japan poised to relax its COVID-19 restrictions on events beginning in May, which would permit fans to cheer and shout at large-scale events, including Masters Tokyo. The new regulations will be implemented on May 8, following a one-week hiatus coinciding with four national holidays, and at least a few weeks before Masters Tokyo.
This change in guidelines will allow for a more lively and interactive atmosphere at the event, which is expected to draw a large number of enthusiastic fans from around the world.
