Revenant Esports have been invited to participate in the upcoming VCL South Asia Split 2, the Mumbai-based organization has announced.
INDIA – Revenant Esports have confirmed that they will be one of the ten teams competing in the upcoming VCL South Asia Split 2. Hosted by NODWIN Gaming as a LAN event in New Delhi, the US$100,000 tournament is set to be one of the biggest VALORANT esports events in the country to date.
Commenting on the team’s upcoming participation in the league, Rohit Jagasia, Founder and CEO of Revenant Esports, said, “Due to legal complications, we were unable to participate in Split 1 despite having a fully stacked roster. The boys had plenty of time to train, though, and we are here to win it all in Split 2.”

The second split of the VALORANT Challengers South Asia 2023 circuit carries a greater level of prestige than the first split. Apart from the substantial increase in the prize pool, the tournament will also determine the South Asian representative in the Pacific Ascension tournament. Winning the Pacific Ascension tournament would grant the champions a two-year promotion to the exclusive Pacific League.
“It was definitely a disappointment to not be competing in Split 1,” said Revenant’s star Tejas “rite2ace” Santosh Sawant. “While the other teams might have the edge right now with more LAN experience and competition exposure this season, we are still pretty confident going into Split 2. We have watched all the games and have an understanding of our opponent’s strategies. Our squad had plenty of time to train and build our synergy so we are headed into Split 2 to secure South Asia’s spot at the Ascension.”
Moreover, Revenant Esports has also stated in a press release that they will soon be announcing the appointment of an imported coach to provide additional support to the team.
While it is yet to be officially confirmed which team Revenant Esports has replaced in the highly anticipated VCL South Asia Split 2, rumors suggest that Lethal Esports may have been the organization to withdraw from the tournament. This speculation is grounded in the numerous controversies that Lethal Esports has faced in recent times, ranging from issues with delayed salary payments to allegations of fostering a poor work culture.
VCL South Asia Split 2 is set to begin very soon. Ten of South Asia’s best, including Revenant Esports, will be fighting for the Ascension slot and the lion’s share of the US$100,000 prize pool.
