EMG Pro Series South Asia will offer teams a prize pool of US$6,500 and spots in the Legends Cup, which is to be held in September in Dubai.
DUBAI – EMG has unveiled the first five invites for the upcoming EMG Pro Series South Asia. The competition is set to take place between August 7-27, where the champions will not only secure the US$1,500 first-place prize but also gain entry to the US$20,000 EMG Legends Cup 2023 held in Dubai this September. Only two more invites are yet to be released, while an ongoing online qualifier will determine the last slot.
The invited teams are spearheaded by Orangutan, fresh off representing the South Asia region in Bangkok after triumphing in VCL South Asia Split 2. They will be joined by the first and second runners-up from that tournament, Reckoning Esports and Aster Army. True Rippers Esports and Medal Esports also make the cut.

The tournament will kick off with two round-robin groups on August 7, 8, and 17, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the single-elimination playoffs scheduled for August 24 and 27. The grand final, a best-of-five showdown, will decide the team that will secure their spot in Dubai, alongside the champions from GCC & Iraq and Levant & North Africa.
Teams that place second in each region will be given another opportunity to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier stage, set to take place offline in Dubai, for a chance to secure the fourth and final spot in the EMG Legends Cup.
The team list for the South Asian event currently looks as follows:
Orangutan | Aster Army |
True Rippers | Reckoning Esports |
Medal Esports | TBD |
