Riza has been revealed as a permanent player for Team Path after being spotted playing alongside them in the Predator League Malaysia.
MALAYSIA – Team Path have announced the signing of former Kingsmen and Kizuna Esports player Sirajul “Riza” Azrie to their VALORANT team. This recent announcement does not come as a complete surprise to many, especially considering the 21-year-old’s participation in official matches during the Predator League Malaysia Finals last week.
His signing comes after the departure of Jia Jie “SAGE” Lim due to personal commitments one week prior to the aforementioned tournament. “We used the situation as an opportunity to find the best Malaysian candidate to fill in the slot who is able to take our team to the next step,” Megat Danish, Operations Lead at Team Path, told VALO2ASIA.
“So far, he has been extremely valuable in our training providing inputs we overlooked before, being a secondary IGL to Kye. Overall, I’m very confident in this roster to make it through the upcoming season.

Riza links up with Team Path after spending the 2023 VCT season with Kizuna Esports. Standing out as one of the team’s top-performing players, he achieved a 1.14 VLR rating (#6) at a time when Kizuna Esports grabbed the second runners-up spot in VCL MY/SG Split 2. It was a substantial leap from their earlier performance, where they had finished seventh in the prior split and faced potential relegation.
Furthermore, this move facilitates a reunion between Riza and zeeq, both of whom previously represented Kingsmen together for an extended duration of 17 months as leading contenders from Malaysia. “After so long not being in a MY team, I’m happy to officially announce that I’m in Team Path! Excited to be on this journey with everyone and hopefully we are able to secure some Ws and make the MY scene great again,” Riza said on Twitter.
With the seasoned duo now part of their lineup, Team Path will be hoping to scale the team and contend for the top spot in Malaysia once more following their narrow defeat to Todak in the Predator League Malaysia Finals.
Team Path are set to make their next appearance in the SEA Qualifier of ESL Clash of Nations 2023.
