Team SMG no longer houses a female VALORANT roster heading into the 2024 season.
SINGAPORE – Team SMG and their VCT Game Changers team have gone their separate ways, the Singaporean organization has announced. The announcement comes unforeseen, particularly given the team’s recent accomplishments, which include victories in all three Open stages and an impressive fourth-place finish at the VCT Game Changers Championship.
“From their undefeated 33 win-streak to coming 4th at Valorant GC World Championships, they have consistently impressed us with their talent, dedication, and teamwork,” the announcement reads. “They are true champions, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished.”
Team SMG entered VCT Game Changers in March 2021 with the signing of a Singaporean-Thai roster led by Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong. The team navigated through four main events in the Open stage and secured qualification into the Elite stage during the 2022 season, but it was not until the following season, with a major overhaul centered around Kohaibi, that they achieved deeper runs.

The inclusion of the Filipino power trio—Alexandria “Alexy” Francisco, Camille “Kamiyu” Enriquez and Kelly “shirazi” Jaudian—quickly transformed SMG into a regional powerhouse, and the rest is history. After Ryona “Tarathiel” Tan stepped down due to other commitments, Team SMG brought in Odella “enerii” Abraham to further bolster their firepower for Open 2.
This iteration of Team SMG managed to secure victories in all three Opens and the Elite stage in the 2023 season, marking the dawn of a new era of dominance as the Queens of APAC, succeeding Alter Ego Celeste. Their success in the Elite stage not only solidified their regional supremacy but also earned them the honor of representing APAC at the VCT Game Changers Championship in São Paulo, where they ultimately concluded their campaign with a fourth-place finish.
In the aftermath of the release, Odella “enerii” Abraham and her teammates have made the decision to stay united, with the exception of Kohaibi who expressed her intention to pursue individual offers two days ago. Instead, they will be joined by Tarathiel as they gear up for the upcoming VCT Game Changers SEA season.
Team SMG had the following lineup:
- 🇸🇬 Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong
- 🇵🇭 Kelly “shirazi” Jaudian
- 🇵🇭 Alexandria “Alexy” Francisco
- 🇵🇭 Camille “Kamiyu” Enriquez
- 🇮🇩 Odella “enerii” Abraham
- 🇸🇬 Kenneth “Colbat” Ho (Coach)
