Bleed Esports are making roster changes after a rocky start to their VCT Pacific campaign in Seoul.
SINGAPORE – Bleed Esports have announced the first step of their roster changes ahead of VCT Pacific Stage 1 by moving Công Anh “crazyguy” Ngô to the bench while parting ways with their most recent recruit Javier “Egoist” Chua. This decision follows an announcement by the organization’s owner and founder less than a week ago, revealing their intention to undergo roster changes ahead of the upcoming campaign in Seoul.
crazyguy initially linked up with Bleed Esports in October 2022 as part of a major overhaul that led to their success together in the tier-two Challengers scene. Their highest point with him at the helm came at VCT Ascension Pacific 2023 in Bangkok, where BLEED emerged victorious, earning them a two-year temporary promotion to the prestigious VCT Pacific circuit.
However, in response to the departures of Tyler “juicy” Aeria and Marcus “nephh” Tan, Bleed Esports chose to bolster their lineup with former X10 Esports player Javier “Egoist” Chua and a high-profile addition in the form of former OpTic player Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker.

Despite the high expectations set for them, the lineup fell short of delivering and experienced a lackluster debut at VCT Pacific KICKOFF. The team faced defeats against T1 and Global Esports although with the addition of North American superstar yay, ultimately finishing the event in last place and sharing the bottom spot with DetonatioN FocusMe.
Meanwhile, the other recent addition Egoist stood out as one of the team’s highest-rated players, achieving a 1.20 VLR rating across three maps against GE in what would ultimately be his final match. Despite his promising performance, it has now been revealed that he will be retiring as a player to concentrate on his studies. This decision marks an end to a career that many viewed as on the rise, particularly within the Singaporean VALORANT scene.
“As I personally feel esports is not worth pursuing anymore, I have decided to retire as a player to focus on my university studies,” Egoist took to Twitter to announce his retirement. “Thank you to everyone I have met on this 10-year journey.”
Bleed Esports have not yet revealed who will fill the vacant positions. However, all indications suggest the potential inclusion of former DRX member Kim “Zest” Gi-seok. Originally slated to compete in the entire Regular Season of VALORANT Challengers Korea Split 1 with Team IAM, featuring some former F4Q players, Zest’s tenure with the team was cut short, as the official announcement of his departure came after only two matches in the main event.
Bleed Esports are left with:

- 🇹🇭 Nutchaphon “sScary” Matarat
- 🇺🇸 Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker
- 🇩🇪 Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić (Head coach)
