The sixth edition of the FSL Open will be one of the last chances for Southeast Asia’s all-female squads to establish themselves as the top dogs and qualify for the US$25,000 VCT Game Changers SEA: FSL Elite, which will take place in October.
The VCT Game Changers SEA: FSL Open VI Playoffs headlined by Alter Ego Celeste, the defending champions of six of previous FSL Open, and will take place on August 25-29 with US$5,000 on the line.
The sixth edition of the FSL Open attracted an outstanding number of 54 teams to take part in the competition. Numerous well-known teams, like Aricat Aresta, Hashira SR, and Renatus White, have re-entered the playoffs. However, Kid Mai Ork (#3) and Magnifique (#6) have disbanded as some of the players joined Oasis Gaming Aqua (#8) and Aricat Aresta (#5).
Oasis Gaming Aqua, the runner-up in FSL Open Season 4, have acquired ‘superpoly’ and ‘ZznonaK’ from Oasis Gaming, and will also return to action after did not qualify for the main event of the previous edition. Meanwhile, Alter Ego Celeste, the only team to have won all six previous FSL Opens, will seek to cement their position as Southeast Asia’s most dominating all-female team. Can they collect the sixth edition’s trophy to their cabinet? Or will we see the emergence of a genuine rival to the reigning champions?

The eight-team competition will feature a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches across the board except for the grand final, which will feature a best-of-five series.

VCT Game Changers SEA – FSL VALORANT Circuit 2021
Since Alter Ego and Galaxy Racer Female have both qualified for FSL Elite as the results of their standings, all eyes will be on who will claim third place at the conclusion of this season as it will ensure a qualification to FSL Elite.
Meanwhile, the teams ranked 4th through 19th will proceed to FSL Overtime to compete for the remaining three seats. A last-chance qualification in the form of FSL Wildcard will also be conducted, with the top two teams receiving two FSL Elite spots.
