DRX’s final piece of the puzzle has been unveiled, with the 17-year-old Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung set to wear the team’s jersey going forward.
SOUTH KOREA – DRX have completed their roster for the VCT Pacific league with the addition of Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung. The 17-year-old’s signing has been officially approved by Riot Games and will therefore round out DRX’s six-man lineup for VCT 2023.
As all partnered teams must maintain a total competitive roster of no less than six members, DRX have decided to turn to young talent in Foxy9, who has averaged 259 ACS over his career while playing against domestic competition in Korea and Japan.

Foxy9 returns to the Korean scene after previously plying his trade with Japan-based REIGNITE for the entirety of the VCT 2022 circuit. During his stint with that squad, REIGNITE made it to the playoffs of VCT Japan Stage 1 Challengers before going out winless in the bracket to secure themselves a 7-8th place finish. Unfortunately, the following season would prove to be one to forget for the Japanese-Korean mix as the team found limited success, failing to secure deep runs in VCT Japan Stage 2 Challengers, ending their campaign for the year.
Foxy9 was a standout on REIGNITE in VCT Japan Stage 1 Challengers, where he posted an average combat score of 297.25 over the course of 24 maps that include matches in open qualifiers, main event, and playoffs, according to THESPIKE.gg. Best known for his signature agent Jett, Foxy9 begins a new chapter in his VALORANT career with Korea’s sole representatives in the VCT Pacific league.
In the following Tweet, Foxy9 said that the move has allowed him to play in the same league as Sentinels’ star Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, whom he hopes to meet in São Paulo, Brazil, next year.
Foxy9 will go through a trial by fire in February, as DRX will take part in the kickoff tournament held as an inaugural tournament, which will bring together all 30 partnered teams from three major VALORANT regions for three weeks from February 14 to March 5. But before that, the all-Korean lineup is expected to participate in several unannounced VALORANT OFF//SEASON tournaments.
