Riot Games has announced that it will host the second international VALORANT event of 2024 in Shanghai, China.
CHINA – Shanghai has been chosen to stage the second international VALORANT event of the 2024 season, Riot Games has announced.
This represents the second time an international VCT event will be held in Asia, with Tokyo being the previous host for the sole VALORANT Masters in the 2023 season.
Leo Faria, Global Head of VALORANT Esports at Riot Games, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We’ve seen how amazing and promising the community is in China. To show our appreciation and to celebrate the one-year anniversary of VALORANT in China next year, we’re very excited to bring Masters to Shanghai! 2024 will be a special year for the VCT and we’re happy to have all of you be part of it with us.”

The most recent VALORANT Masters wrapped up this June, seeing FNATIC secure the first-place prize of US$350,000 after triumphing over Evil Geniuses in best-of-five grand finals.
Details regarding the format, venues, and the commencement of ticket sales will be announced in the near future, as informed by VALORANT Esports China.
