The eight teams have been assigned their initial matchups in the Play-In stage of VCT APAC Stage 1 Challengers
Taking place this Thursday, the Play-In stage of VCT APAC Stage 1 Challengers will see eight lower-seeded teams from seven sub-regional VCTs compete in two GSL groups for the final four spots in the VCT APAC Stage 1 Challengers Group Stage. All matches will be best-of-threes.
No Namers and Fancy United Esports will play against each other as part of the opening triad at 13:30 SGT, followed by Action PH’s clash with Team Big BAAM. FULL SENSE will face off against ONIC G to headline the first matches the following day, while Global Esports is set to take Griffin E-Sports. The Indian squad will be heading to Singapore in the coming days to prepare for their second high-stake battle against APAC teams after placing 7-8th in last year’s VCT Last Chance Qualifier.

Twelve teams await the remaining four opponents in the main event group stage of VCT APAC Stage 1 Challengers, which will be determined by March 13th. The tournament favorites and APAC’s current No. 1 side XERXIA Esports have been placed in Group C alongside Bleed eSports, NAOS Esports, and one yet-to-be-determined Play-In team.
