All eight participating teams for the VCT Game Changers APAC Open 4 Playoffs have been determined following the end of the knockout and group stages.
The final VCT Game Changers Open will take place from June 2-5 and see eight teams square off for their share of a US$5,000 prize pool. This will be the last Open on the VCT Game Changers APAC 2022 circuit. Reigning champions Alter Ego Celeste, previous second-runner-up Bren Esports Victress, and Singaporean side Team SMG are the highest-ranked teams confirmed for the tournament, which features a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket.
Nigma Galaxy have been missing from the playoff team list since the beginning of the year and will make their debut this time around after knocking out BIGG SCYTHE in the knockout stage. They will take on the newly-formed Orangutan Female in the quarter-finals.

Joining the Filipino side are MY/SG’s Sovereign (formerly Governors) and Thirsts Red, who came through the group stage after taking down FUMA Ladies and X10 CRIT Female, respectively, and will also make their first playoff appearance ever in the circuit.
The complete team list for VCT Game Changers APAC Open 4 looks as follows:
🇲🇾 Sovereign | 🇸🇬 Team SMG |
🇲🇾 Thrists Red | 🇵🇭 Bren Esports Victress |
🇮🇩 Alter Ego Celeste | 🇹🇭 Aresta |
🌏 Orangutan Female | 🇵🇭 Nigma Galaxy Female |
Meanwhile, #2 seed X10 CRIT Female were eliminated early by Thrists Red in the group stage, missing their first-ever VCT Game Changers participation since July last year. Due to their early elimination in Open 4, the Thai team will have to settle for a ticket to the Overtime stage since they no longer have a chance to earn more circuit points to directly qualify for VCT Game Changers APAC Elite. It will be up to Team SMG or Aresta to claim the third and final berth.
Alter Ego Celeste and Bren Esports Victress have been guaranteed a spot and will not have to play in Overtime or Last Chance after accumulating enough Circuit points in the past three Open stages.
The final phase of the competition will be a double-elimination best-of-three bracket that will play out in its entirety this week from June 2 and crown a champion on Sunday, June 5, with a best-of-five grand final starting at 3:00 PM SGT (UTC+8).
