Vision Strikers are looking to shake up the Korean scene with an extended seven-man roster in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3
Kim “Lakia” Jong-min is the newest addition to Vision Strikers’ roster, the organization revealed on Friday, returning a former recruit as the team’s seventh member. The announcement comes one day after his sudden departure from NUTURN Gaming.
The addition of the 20-year-old comes just days before the VCT 2021: Korea Stage 3 Challenger begins, where the team will hope to turn things around back to the glory days of Vision Strikers.
“I have returned to Vision Strikers after a year apart. I’ll aim to compete in the highest stage and challenge myself to achieve the very best.” says Lakia on his official statement.

During the early days of VALORANT, Lakia was a former recruit of Vision Strikers in June of last year. His tenure, however, was brief, as he did not appear in any of the team’s official matches. A few months later, he joined PROPARTY that would later be picked up by NUTURN Gaming. The player was instrumental to NUTURN’s success over the past year, helping the team qualify for VALORANT’s first international LAN event; Masters Reykjavik.
Lakia was the best performer in the VCT Stage 2 Korea Challengers, rocking the highest K/D among hundreds of players participating and finishing in the top ten for Average Combat Score at 257, according to VLR.gg.
In Iceland, Lakia led NUTURN through the upper bracket of VCT Masters Reykjavík, defeating the likes of Sharks Esports and Version 1. With an impressive performance, the squad advanced to the lower bracket finals before falling to fnatic to finish third. Individually, Lakia ranked as one of the top 10 players at the event and received the Day 4 MVP
