Jia Heng “JayH” Wong has returned to BLEED’s starting lineup ahead of VCT 2023.
SINGAPORE – Bleed Esports have parted ways with Jorell “Retla” Teo and brought back Jia Heng “JayH” Wong, the organization announced today, with the same goal of securing a single two-year promotion spot in the VCT Pacific league next year.
Retla cited a lack of motivation for VALORANT as the main reason for his decision to leave, with the 21-year-old’s future on the game remaining unclear at this point. “I have not been enjoying the game recently and have decided to leave BLEED; I felt me not giving my 100 per cent was not fair to the others in the team and did what I thought was right. Anyways good luck to everyone at bleed and I love you guys so much.”

As such, the team felt it would be better to recall former teammate JayH to fill in the void. The move brings an end to his extremely brief two-week tenure as a free agent, rejoining the squad after previously being with the team for most of the OFF//SEASON tournaments since mid-October.
JayH was part of the lineup that managed to lift the TEC Challenger Series 9 trophy and won the Southeast Asia qualifier for the VALORANT India Invitational but he ended up being relegated to Bleed Esports’ bench before his official departure in late November.
The Singaporean squad currently have an empty calendar following the end of their campaign in the AfreecaTV SEA Invitational. BLEED’s most recent OFF//SEASON run ended with an underwhelming 9-12th finish following their losses to XERXIA and Fancy United Esports, both with a 13-11 scoreline. Nevertheless, their victories in TEC Challenger Series 9 and the Skyesports SEA Championship have propelled Bleed Esports to the top of the list of favorites to make it to the Ascension league in the Pacific region.
