NAOS Esports will be looking to maintain their strong run this season with the new recruit.
PHILIPPINES – NAOS Esports have announced the arrival of former SR Nacague and ZOL Esports player Carl “senyorcarL” Carandang, with the Flex/Controller player coming in to replace Noel “NDG” De Guia on the active roster. This move comes as quite a surprise, as the squad had seemingly hit the ground running recently by securing the VCL Philippines Split 1 title.
While NDG continues to be a part of the organization as a substitute, the move now leaves only Jerome “Mojer” Literal from the 2022 NAOS Esports roster.
Filling NDG’s spot on the active roster is senyorcarL, whose extensive experience in the main events of Challengers Philippines since the 2021 season with Zeal Esports (formerly 6045pirates), Stream Raiders (SR) Nacague, and most recently ZOL Esports brings added depth to the team.

In the past six months, senyorcarL assisted SR Nacague in reaching a respectable fourth-place finish in the AfreecaTV SEA Invitational and a 5-6th place finish in VCL Philippines Split 1. However, his most recent stint with ZOL Esports was cut short midway through Split 2 as he now joins the ranks of NAOS Esports, the current top team in the league.
In a brief statement to VALO2ASIA, senyorcarL said, “I feel excited and happy joining NAOS because I can show everyone that I am on par with the veterans of this team. I am honored to be offered a spot in their roster, and rest assured I can help them win matches in the near future.”
Throughout the season, NAOS Esports have been occupying a position of unchallenged superiority, having suffered just a single defeat at the hands of Oasis Gaming in the second week of Split 1. However, they have since obtained sweet revenge, triumphing over their adversaries in both the upper bracket final and grand final of the said tournament, as well as in the second week of the current split.
Having already played their inaugural match together today in VCL Philippines Split 2 Week 4, NAOS Esports with senyorcarL managed to secure a decisive 2-0 triumph over MVP Esports.
There remains a little less than a week for NAOS Esports to further acclimate senyorcarL to their system as they gear up to face Gamelab Alpha on April 27.
NAOS Esports move forward with the following roster:
