The first team to be invited to Red Bull Home Ground #4 in Tokyo is the North American squad 100 Thieves.
JAPAN – Red Bull Gaming has confirmed 100 Thieves as the first team invited to Red Bull Home Ground #4, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan, on November 3-5. 100 Thieves are set to return as defending champions, having clinched last year’s edition in Manchester, UK, where they triumphed without a single loss and overpowered North American rivals Cloud9 with a 3-0 victory in the grand final.
“THEY ARE BACK! 100 Thieves will be joining us in Tokyo for Red Bull Home Ground. Will they be able to reclaim their throne?” the announcement reads.
Eight teams will once again be participating in the Red Bull Home Ground tournament this year. With 100T already on board, seven more spots are up for grabs – five through direct invitations and two via qualifiers from EMEA and Japan slated for October.

Set for November 3-5, Red Bull Home Ground Tokyo is among the 40+ OFF//SEASON events previously announced by Riot Games earlier this month. The iconic Sumo arena Ryogoku Kokugikan will serve as the venue for the tournament. Constructed in 1985, the multipurpose arena can accommodate over 10,000 attendees and has been the backdrop for sumo tournaments, live concerts, and bouts of Olympic-grade boxing.
Questions linger about 100 Thieves potentially reshuffling their roster before the OFF//SEASON, especially in the aftermath of their split from General Manager Daniel “ddk” Kapadia last month. Nonetheless, this tournament presents a golden chance for them to secure their first trophy of the season after a lackluster showing in the VCT Americas circuit.
The Tokyo event marks 100T’s fourth offline showing this season following their top-eight performances in both VCT LOCK//IN and VCT Americas League and a 5-6th placement in the Last Chance Qualifier due to a loss to Sentinels in the initial single-elimination round.
The team list for Red Bull Home Ground #4 in Tokyo is currently as follows:
