Songchai “Tongrak” Payang has stepped down from his role as FULL SENSE coach, the Thai organization has announced.
Songchai “Tongrak” Payang’s departure from FULL SENSE comes ahead of the start of the 2022 season with the VCT Thailand Stage 1 Challengers — the specific dates of which have yet to be revealed.
“We would like to thank Coach Tongrak for being with us for the past year and thank you for your commitment to FULL SENSE even though we have to part ways here. We wish Coach Tongrak good luck and success in every way you choose to walk.” the announcement reads.

The decision comes as a blow to FULL SENSE, who have been headed by Tongrak since the lineup’s formation later in 2020 under the NG.Black banner and have since then been a constant presence in the top three of the VLR’s APAC team rankings in the last ten months.
Tongrak has contributed to FULL SENSE’s lengthy list of accomplishments as a title contender in domestic and Asia-Pacific regions by making deep runs in a number of high-profile tournaments, including the 2021 VCT Thailand Stage 1, 2, and 3, where they advanced to both of the SEA Challengers Playoffs, finishing second and fourth, respectively.
Heading to the last quarter of the year, FULL SENSE also has sprung shocks as the region’s dark horse squad. The Kititkawin “PTC” Rattanasukol-led side made a powerful statement in the VCT Asia-Pacific Last Chance Qualifier, which saw them beating the likes of REJECT, NUTURN Gaming, DWG KIA, and NORTHEPTION to be crowned champions.
The specific win against NORTHEPTION in the grand final secured them a ticket at VALORANT Champions and qualified them as one of Southeast Asia’s representatives in the year’s most prestigious VALORANT tournament. This first international event of FULL SENSE also served as Tongrak’s final appearance for the team.
