Widely considered one of Thailand’s best prospects, Kadoom has reaffirmed his commitment to MiTH for the upcoming season by signing a new long-term contract.
THAILAND – Kantapon “Kadoom” Kingthong has signed a long-term contract extension with Made in Thailand (MiTH), reiterating his commitment to the Thai powerhouse for the upcoming 2024 Challengers season.
The Duelist player made his debut with MiTH in January 2022 when the organization reentered the Thai VALORANT scene. Since arriving from Sharper Esport, he has been an integral part of the team, consistently holding the position of the team’s top-rated player and contributing to their qualification for both stages of APAC Challengers and its LCQ throughout the year.
In October 2022, Kadoom had already secured a contract extension with MiTH, ensuring his presence for the 2023 season. Kadoom not only maintained his position as the best player on his team but also stood out as the best performer in the competition during both VCL Thailand Split 1 and 2, averaging 1.33 and 1.29 VLR rating respectively, despite the team’s struggles in clinching the two domestic titles.
As the year draws to a close in 2023, MiTH retain Kadoom and Nantapol “Kongared” Boonying from their signings the previous year, while integrating new talent into their roster. The additions include the former CRIT Esports pair Krit “Kntz” Chaiprasit and Chinnakrit “seph1roth” Phoojaroen, along with former Paper Rex substitute Patiphan “CGRS” Posri, bolstering their active lineup.
Sattawut “Leaf” Reathong has just made a comeback to the Thai powerhouse after a brief three-month stint with Team NKT. Meanwhile, Piyangoon “MYM” Kitisin has joined MiTH’s support staff, leveraging experience from assisting CRIT Esports in qualifying for VCL Thailand Split 2 while also bringing a storied coaching background in Counter-Strike, having worked with the likes of MiTH, BTRG, Team NKT, and others.
The announcement of Kadoom’s contract extension comes amidst widespread rumors of his potential departure. Continuing their partnership for the upcoming year marks a continued trust and relationship between Kadoom and MiTH, with a highly sought-after two-year promotion into the VCT Pacific League next year remaining their ultimate focus.
However, uncertainty still looms over the rest of MiTH’s roster, with potential changes teased by Chanignun Thipairote, the organization’s Co-Founder, on Twitter.
