The 24-year-old Malaysian Chong “Fayde” Hoc Wah has been appointed as the coach of Team Secret, the organization has revealed. 

Chong “Fayde” Hoc Wah fills a gap in the BOOM Esports squad’s technical staff by becoming the team’s analyst.

BOOM Esports claimed the EPULZE Royal SEA Challenge title by defeating South Built Esports in the best-of-five grand final 3-0 (Ascent 13-8, Haven 13-8, Bind 13-7). They also take home the grand prize of US$6,000, with South Built Esports walking away with half of the first-place reward. 

BOOM Esports have officially parted ways with Kevin “Eeyore” Gunawan and Nanda “Asteriskk” Rizana, the Indonesian organization has announced. The move comes less than a month after BOOM Esports was ousted from the APAC Last Chance Qualifier in 7th-8th place, therefore eliminating them from contention for a Champions slot.

After a long day of battle, another two teams are headed home from the VCT APAC Last Chance Qualifier. BOOM Esports were sent home by DWG KIA, while F4Q ejected Global Esports. Coming into the event with a win over FENNEL and DWG KIA in the round of ten, BOOM and Global struggled to succeed in their following matches. 

BOOM Esports, who are currently ranked 13th in APAC according to VLR.gg’s team ranking, have announced the completion of Rafi “frostmind” Diandra’s addition from XcN Gaming as their new sentinel player. He will occupy the spot that has been vacant after Sheldon “NcSlasher” Andersen’s departure two weeks ago.
