As the Last Chance Qualifier nears its conclusion, two more teams have been eliminated, leaving only Thailand’s FULL SENSE and Japan-Korea’s Northeption to grab a direct spot to Champions.
After a long day of battle, another two teams are headed home from the VCT APAC Last Chance Qualifier. BOOM Esports were sent home by DWG KIA, while F4Q ejected Global Esports. Coming into the event with a win over FENNEL and DWG KIA in the round of ten, BOOM and Global struggled to succeed in their following matches.
The third day of the APAC Last Chance Qualifier has come to a close, which saw Japan’s REJECT and FENNEL eliminated from the event. As the event is a qualifier for VALORANT Champions, both teams will be unable to claim that spot at the most prestigious VALORANT event of this year.
Global Esports, the victor of VALORANT Conquerors Championship and India’s sole representative in the VCT APAC Last Chance Qualifier, will bootcamp in Thailand prior to the LCQ, the owner of the organization, Rushindra “Salbatic” Sinha, revealed on September 23.
The team allocation of the VCT APAC LCQ will be updated due to “logistical issues that have the potential to impact the overall competitive integrity of the tournament”.
Gambit have handily defeated Envy in the best-of-five grand final at Masters Berlin, stopping the North American’s surprising run in playoffs and finishing the event as the #1 team in the world. They leave Berlin with another trophy under their belt after taking down Envy 3-0 in the grand final on Sunday (Bind 15-13, Haven 13-11, Split 13-9).
