OpTic have eliminated DRX from Istanbul, setting up a rematch of the Masters Reykjavík grand final against LOUD for the world championship title this year. 

DRX came out on top in a two-map derby against reigning Masters winners FunPlus Phoenix and have secured a spot in the VALORANT Champions lower bracket final, where they will meet OpTic Gaming today. 

DRX secured the guaranteed top four placements with a victory against FNATIC 2-1 (Icebox 7-13, Ascent 14-12, Fracture 13-9).

We spoke with Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin, BOOM Esports commented about his team’s performance at VALORANT Champions.

The playoffs for VALORANT Champions are underway following the completion of the 16-team group stage, which saw the likes of OpTic and DRX advance with a flawless record. 

XERXIA are out of the running at VALORANT Champions after losing a 1-2 series against KRU Esports, ending in 13-16th place.
